Armenia Startup Academy graduates: CookMenu

American University of Armenia held a demo day for the second batch of Armenia Startup Academy accelerator on May 30, which included 12 startups.

Itel.am tells about the second batch of Armenia Startup Academy graduates in these series.

CookMenu is a web platform and mobile app designed to help out users in search of a recipe. The startup, still in testing mode, suggests recipes according to the amount of money and time the user has available, the contents of their fridge, nutritional preferences or contraindications.

CookMenu was founded by Armenuhi Abramyan, Narine Manukyan, Garik Hakobyan, and Arakel Mkrtchyan.

They have told Itel.am that the project’s target audience includes housewives, students, cooks and all people who love to cook.

The main advantage of CookMenu is that the user indicates their preferences once on the platform and receives recipe suggestions according to the data he entered.

The startup team says that the knowledge and experience they have gained at Armenia Startup Academy has helped them develop the business side of their project.

CookMenu will launch mobile and web versions, add recipes and languages within a year.

Armenia Startup Academy is initiated by Catalyst Foundation and implemented in the framework of the EU4Business Support to SME Development (SMEDA) Project, which is co-funded by the European Union and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ’s Private Sector Development in South Caucasus Programme. SMEDA is part of the EU4Business and EU4Innovation initiatives of the European Union.
