Armenia’s operators comment on Mobile ID system

As was already reported, Armenian citizens will be able to identify via mobile phones starting from October 1. That will allow people to carry out all necessary dealings with state agencies online, without using the identification card or even going out of the house.

Beeline is always open to innovative approaches and solutions and strives to provide its customers with the most advanced services. At present, the company is negotiating the project.

We will be able to offer precise information about the term and cost of the service ahead of the launch. For now we can assure we will do everything possible to make the mentioned service affordable, simple, and convenient for all our subscribers.

VivaCell-MTS

Given that the parties haven’t agreed the procedures of Mobile ID installation, VivaCell-MTS cannot provide any information about the company’s position. The tariffs for Mobile ID aren’t agreed with the operators as well.

Ucom

Ucom considers the decision of the Armenian Government to introduce Mobile ID to be an innovation in sync with the company’s strategy of welcoming innovative products. Our subscribers will get a solution for identification issue and a convenient option for saving time.

As the decision hasn’t been finalized yet and we need to carry out certain preparations to launch the process (purchase of new generation SIM cards, installation of the app in them, etc), we cannot name the monthly fee for the service yet.
